The Watermelon Story

One day the Nana made watermelon balls. The two little children, Peyton and Ally, were very excited and sat at the counter anticipating the sweet, juicy snack. It was finally ready. "Yummy" said Peyton. "Hey wait a minute, I want some too" said Ally. After carefully assessing the quantity of watermelon........... Peyton laughed wickedly "haha!! It's all MINE, MINE!!!" "Oh drats" said Ally, I'm calling Miss Manners?" And she did. THE END We've played "upside down" day.... "dish towel cape" day..... and practiced roller skating while on the cell phone. Peyton's also learning how to hold his belly just like Grandpa. Peyton really cracks me up. We went to the park and a lady asked him his name and he told her "I Mario". Here some cute park pics. July's heating up

It's been really hot this month but we've managed to stay cool. A picnic at Quincy Park with cousin Max did just the trick. Playing was more fun than my Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwiches. Ally is really crawling all over the place, one day we couldn't even find her and she was under that table before you could blink an eye. Coloring, cooking and outdoor play make up most of our days. But I think our best fun was when the weather was perfect to bring out the pool. I think they had fun. The Gram Cam

Summer's Here

We've been having a lot of fun now that summers is here. One day we visited the local church garage/bake sale and bought some cookies, they were yummy. Next we visited a park for 5-8 year olds, most things were too big. When it got warmer we had a kiddy kar wash in the back yard and made big puddles. Ally watched and waved. One day when it rained I made cookies and found one missing, I wonder where it went. We went to our Quincy park for 2-5 years olds and both kids had fun.  Ally loves the slide and tunnel. Peyton was hungry I guess so we went home. We made time to work in the garden. Ally's learning to feed herself and she'll need some more practice of course. Here are a couple of Peytons pictures. Strawberries!!!!

The Strawberries are here and everyone loves them. Other top news is Ally's got a tooth and we finally found Peyton's lost happy shoe. Ally's getting so strong and sitting for long periods but falling over without crying. She sure wants to get going, I for one can wait, I like to have her contained for now. We resumed 'My baby can read', at least it's better than most tv shows. Peyton is showing his artistic side with drawing and photography. (I love how his finger is in most of his pictures). Cousin Gage visited one day and got his picture taken by our budding photographer. The two kids really seem to like each other and Ally always smiles at Peyton even when he sometimes pushes on her head and makes her cry. I predict she'll get revenge some day.
