Summer's Here

We've been having a lot of fun now that summers is here. One day we visited the local church garage/bake sale and bought some cookies, they were yummy. Next we visited a park for 5-8 year olds, most things were too big. When it got warmer we had a kiddy kar wash in the back yard and made big puddles. Ally watched and waved. One day when it rained I made cookies and found one missing, I wonder where it went. We went to our Quincy park for 2-5 years olds and both kids had fun.  Ally loves the slide and tunnel. Peyton was hungry I guess so we went home. We made time to work in the garden. Ally's learning to feed herself and she'll need some more practice of course. Here are a couple of Peytons pictures. Strawberries!!!!

The Strawberries are here and everyone loves them. Other top news is Ally's got a tooth and we finally found Peyton's lost happy shoe. Ally's getting so strong and sitting for long periods but falling over without crying. She sure wants to get going, I for one can wait, I like to have her contained for now. We resumed 'My baby can read', at least it's better than most tv shows. Peyton is showing his artistic side with drawing and photography. (I love how his finger is in most of his pictures). Cousin Gage visited one day and got his picture taken by our budding photographer. The two kids really seem to like each other and Ally always smiles at Peyton even when he sometimes pushes on her head and makes her cry. I predict she'll get revenge some day.

Now someone's been sitting in my highchair and here she is.....Ally...what does she think she's doing.




Nana got us some sand for the box and let us play



Ally thought it was food



and had to go lay on the blanket



where she did her crunches




then we gardened



Today we went to find some baby ducks, I got bored in the stroller on the way

Then to the park to play on the purple dino




and this thing, I don't know what its called but nana took a ride too.





Ally got to put her feet in the sand again but that was it.

Nana's School

Nana's education is in full force. Singing has been high on the academic chart after a .50 purchase at Vicky's garage sale and some batteries. Even Ally tried after having to do the army/body wiggle crawl.




Both are still trying to figure out what to do with their tongues.





Ally always has questions.



A field trip to Adler Park found us learning about ants and how they climb up trees, Ally wasn't interested yet.






It was exhausting for both.




Indoor skating is still fun while Ally gives her dolly a squeeze.




Laughing at me is always a great pastime and photo opportunity.




I also had a lesson not to leave rubber bands on doorknobs anymore. I'm not sure what he was trying to do.



Peyton is so helpful when Ally is fussy, he's been giving her his finger.



But she is usually happy and so sweet as you can see. (I hope it doesn't hurt her eyes to have her picture taken so often).
